Teletherapy Counseling
Life can be busy, stressful, or unpredictable. Teletherapy gives you the chance to meet with your counselor online, so you can get support from the comfort of your own home or any private space. The sessions take place through secure video and offer the same care and connection as meeting in person—just with more flexibility.
Who Can Use Teletherapy?

Because of state licensing laws, I can only provide teletherapy to clients who are physically in Michigan during the session. If you’re traveling outside of Michigan, we’ll simply pause until you’re back in state.
Insurance and Coverage
Most insurance plans cover teletherapy, but every company has its own rules. It’s important for you to check with your insurance provider to make sure there aren’t any restrictions that might apply to your plan.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Your privacy matters. I use a secure online platform in a private space, but it’s also important for you to make sure your space is private. That means finding a spot where you won’t be overheard or interrupted. Your confidentiality might be limited if others are able to hear or see your session.
Some helpful tips:
A little preparation makes teletherapy go much more smoothly. These small steps help us make the most of our time together. You’ll want to:
- Use a device with a steady internet connection.
- Sit somewhere with good lighting, so we can see each other clearly.
- Choose a low-noise environment to minimize distractions.
- Make sure you’re not driving or multitasking during our session.
- Pick a quiet, comfortable room where you can close the door.
- Avoid public Wi-Fi or shared devices if possible.
- If we get disconnected, please call or text me at (269) 348-0432.
